When Faith Meets Fertility: A Journey of Hope, Healing, and Community

Opening My Heart
I wasn’t sure I’d ever share details—or ever allow anyone to support us on this journey. But as an advocate for infertility, I felt (of course, after much sought counsel—God) compelled to allow the community and my support system to come alongside us.
This has been a journey that’s not only emotionally and physically demanding, but financially taxing, too. Over the years, many people have asked how they could support us—offering prayers, encouragement, and even financial help. For a long time, I hesitated.
But I’ve come to realize that allowing others to give is not a burden—it’s a blessing. I had to release the idea that strength meant doing this alone. I had to lay down pride and pick up faith—trusting that God would not only sustain us but also surround us with people who would pour into us when we needed it most.
It’s not easy to be this vulnerable, but I’ve learned there is power in community and healing in being seen.

Our Journey, Our Hope
For the past seven years, my husband and I have been on a journey filled with hope, heartbreak, resilience, and unwavering faith. Every year, we’ve prayed, waited, cried, believed, and tried again—because the dream of holding our baby in our arms has never left our hearts.
Our story began with a diagnosis of PCOS, followed by a long season of unexplained infertility. After countless appointments and rounds of testing, we learned that my fallopian tubes were blocked. That news led us to a fertility specialist, and in 2022, we courageously began our fertility journey by way of IVF.
But that first chapter was cut short. A serious side effect of the treatment caused blood clots—thankfully discovered before they reached my heart. It led to an unexpected hospital stay and a pause that was painful and discouraging.
A year later, we found the strength to try again—only to be met with another setback: I had developed 22 fibroids. That discovery led to an invasive surgery and the removal of one of my fallopian tubes.
Now, 8 months post-surgery, we’re here again—hopeful, expectant, and ready to continue.
God's Whisper in the Waiting
For a long time, I carried the weight of infertility in silence. I felt embarrassed, even ashamed—as if my body had betrayed me.
But one day, in a quiet moment of prayer, God whispered to my heart:
“Hold onto My hope.”
Since then, Jeremiah 29:11 has become the anchor of my soul:
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
This verse has reminded me that even when the path is unclear and the waiting feels unbearable, God is still writing our story.
Making Room for Support

We are picking up our journey with renewed faith and open hearts. Many people know that fertility planning specifically IVF is not just emotionally and physically exhausting—it is also financially overwhelming.
We’re not sharing this to ask. We’re simply making room for those who’ve asked to give. This is an invitation for those who’ve said, “We want to support you,” to do just that. And if all you can offer is your prayers, encouragement, or simply your presence—please know that means the world to us, too.
That’s why, after years of walking quietly, I’m choosing to share our story out loud.
Not because it’s easy.
But because I believe in the power of transparency, faith, and togetherness.
Whether you’ve experienced infertility or not, I hope our story reminds you that strength isn’t about walking alone. It’s about letting others in—especially when the journey feels too heavy to carry by yourself.
